    This Sony marine head unit will withstand the marine environment as the board is conformal coated against rust and corrosion and the plastic can stand up to the suns UV rays. This head unit has Bluetooth, USB, auxiliary, a CD player, and everything else you could want from an amplifier. Compared to the high output model, there are two main differences. This head unit does not have the ability to power a subwoofer without using an external amplifier. Also, this unit has 2V pre-amp outputs whereas the MEX-M100BT has 5V pre-amp outputs. If you are using an amp, the 5V output will sound noticeably better.
